Asus 4G-AX56 Review

Wireless-N technology, such as the most recent WiFi 6 standard, provides future-proof technologies as well as higher network efficiency, faster WiFi speeds, and greater coverage for connected devices, resulting in a significantly better networking experience for users.

In order to provide faster wireless connections, the ASUS 4G-AX56 is a 2×2 dual-band WiFi 6 LTE Router that offers 80MHz bandwidth and 1024-QAM. With a total networking speed of approximately 1800Mbps – 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 1201Mbps on the 5GHz band – the 4G-AX56 is 1.5X faster than the WiFi 5 2×2 dual-band LTE Router (which has a total networking speed of about 1800Mbps).

WiFi 6 technology, which uses a combination of OFDMA and MU-MIMO technology, can provide up to 4X greater network capacity and efficiency in densely populated areas with high traffic density. In contrast to current-generation WiFi 5, previous-generation WiFi 5 can only handle one device at a time on each network channel, which is a waste of available bandwidth. When the WiFi 6 standard is implemented, each channel is divided into small sub-channels, allowing signals from multiple devices to be bundled together and transmitted at the same time, reducing latency and resulting in a smoother, more responsive WiFi experience.

4G-AX56 is equipped with the most up-to-date LTE Category 6 mobile broadband, which combines two cellular bands to provide internet download speeds of up to 300Mbps – 2X faster than LTE Category 4, and 7X faster than 3G (HSPA+), allowing you to easily share large files and stream 4K UHD video.

The 4G-AX56 has one Gigabit WAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports on the back of the device. Smart TVs, game consoles, NAS storage devices, backup internet, and other devices can now be connected to the 4G-AX56 via dedicated ports, transforming it into a reliable digital home hub.
